Job Description
Summary: NOTE:
This is a opening slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility, therefore, they will be considered for the opening first. If none of those local Team Members are slected then other Team Members from other locations will be given consideration.
This position is responsible for conducting pre-operative inspection of the facility. Other duties include: inspect and audit products for adherence of Tyson and USDA guidelines; conduct necessary testing, inspection, and monitoring of activities associated with production; monitor finished boxed product for compliance; document record keepoing activities; monitor and insure compliance with plant HACCP and SSOP programs; assist inspecial projects; perform other duties assigned by the shift supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry required or other FSQA type experience.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills preferred.
Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other Requirements:. Extra consideration given to team members with technical skills; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; have good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
